Super imitation day

During homecoming this year our theme was the superheroes of West Jeff. One of the days was super imitation day. I decided to dress up like my student Belen. She was such a good sport about it so we took some pictures together. In these photos you can't see it but I wore high heels, all day, to school. I never do this but in the spirit of being Belen I made the sacrifice.

My favorite Class

I have the privilege of spending 2nd hour everyday with 7 amazingly fun 7th grade girls. Its become my favorite class. As a teacher its awesome to have a class that rarely ever needs to be told to listen and behave. They come in excited to learn more art and it makes my life so easy. Not only are they eager to learn but they are really fun girls too. I am constantly laughing at their funny stories of the perils of 7th grade. They make coming to school worth it. :)

Roman Ruins

We hosted a murder mystery dinner party. It was an absolute blast! Megan turned out to be the murder. I was the town hussy. Briana was a thief. Aubrey and Brigham were involved in an affair. And everyone but me was plotting to kill the poet. I was impressed with everyone's willingness to dress up and play along. We will for sure be doing this again.

Last Saturday I had the privilege of chaperoning prom. It was such a blast. The kids didn't show up for an hour and a half after we (Megan, Will, Nate, Matt, Lacey, and Myself) got there. In the mean time Mrs. Bunce taught Nate how to waltz and we had fun dancing with the whole floor to ourselves. The students had fun when they all finally showed up. I got to announce the prom court. I have included some photos from the night.

Pi Party

So I attended a Pi party to celebrate Pi day on 3/14/10/. Of course to celebrate we had Pie. I love pie so I was all about it! Pie is yummy! I didn't get a lot of photos cause people always run from the camera.
